Company Overview
In October 1994, Golden State Foods (gsf) purchased the Australian produce operations in Sydney and Perth supplying McDonalds restaurants in the Eastern States, Western Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands and Asia-Pacific Region.
gsf's experience in food processing and safety provided the foundation to enhance the Australian operations with the latest technology and food safety practices. This has resulted in increased shelf-life for all products to better service distant customers in Queensland and Asia.
In the produce business, raw materials dictate finished product quality. To ensure the best quality produce at all times, gsf Australia employs a procurement manager who spends time in the fields supporting the gsf network of growers throughout Australia.
By supporting gsf growers through information sharing, benchmarking exercises and continuous improvement projects, gsf Australia has created a team approach from field to customer, ensuring that the produce received is of the best quality and value.
On 23rd November 1998, gsf Australia purchased Yum (formerly Tricon) commisary operations in NSW which created an excellent opportunity to expand the total business and benefit from the synergy created by combining the operations.
gsf Australia continuously improves and upgrades processing lines to guarantee compliance to specification and to ensure the cleanest product with an excellent shelf-life.
gsf Australia takes pride in providing customers with the highest quality products and services they deserve everyday.
